Flock Safety has introduced a Trust & Compliance suite that consolidates data privacy controls, transparency tools, and accountability features into a single platform, directly targeting mounting scrutiny of automated license plate recognition (ALPR) technology and emerging state-level regulation. With five states already enacting ALPR-related laws affecting its core product, Flock is positioning this suite as infrastructure to help customer agencies maintain compliance, reduce legal and reputational risk, and sustain adoption of the company’s system.
The launch includes the general availability of Audit Assistance, an embedded tool that continuously monitors usage patterns and flags searches that fall outside an agency’s typical behavior, converting what was a manual, after-the-fact audit process into a proactive control layer for administrators and command staff. Offered at no additional cost within the Flock platform, Audit Assistance and related features—such as offense-type requirements, search filters, sharing controls, public records support, transparency portals, and in-app policy workflows—are designed to hardwire oversight into the product, strengthen community trust, and make Flock’s network more defensible as its customer base of more than 12,000 agencies and organizations scales and as new compliance tools are rolled out over time.
