Fleetio has introduced an open beta of its AI-driven Service Advisor at Work Truck Week, positioning the capability as a key lever to reduce maintenance costs and shop time for fleets facing escalating operating expenses. Early customer data indicates assets spend about 16% fewer hours in the shop when Service Advisor is used to guide repair approvals, which directly supports higher asset utilization and tighter control of maintenance budgets.
Service Advisor builds on Fleetio’s broader automation strategy, which recently added Smart Uploads to convert service invoices and receipts into structured data in seconds, eliminating manual entry and saving individual fleet administrators up to six to eight hours per week. Leveraging more than a decade of fleet service records and Fleetio’s Maintenance Shop Network, the new tool prioritizes issues, flags exceptions, and standardizes repair decision-making at scale, with CTO Jorge Valdivia framing it as a major step toward making Fleetio the “operational brain” of the fleet; current customers can activate the open beta in their settings as the company deepens its role in managing over 8 million vehicles and 13 million annual repair orders across 8,000 fleets in more than 100 countries.
