Firestorm Labs has secured $82 million in Series B funding to scale its xCell containerized drone factories, positioning the company at the center of the U.S. military’s push to solve contested logistics in the Indo-Pacific region. The round, led by Washington Harbour Partners with participation from strategic defense investors including In-Q-Tel and Lockheed Martin, lifts total capital raised to $153 million and underpins Firestorm’s shift from conventional drone manufacturing to forward-deployed production.
Founded by CEO Dan Magy alongside special operations veteran Chad McCoy and 3D-printing expert Ian Muceus, Firestorm Labs is now focused on xCell units that can 3D-print mission-configurable drones in under 24 hours and produce battlefield replacement parts on demand. The company generates revenue from hardware sales and multi-branch U.S. Department of Defense contracts, including an Air Force agreement with a $100 million ceiling, and already has xCell systems operational with Air Force organizations in New York and Florida as well as undisclosed Indo-Pacific units, with a goal of full operational deployment in that theater within two years.
