EV Connect – Weekly Recap

EV Connect is sharpening its strategy around software and the hospitality sector, as the company positions hotel EV charging as a baseline amenity on par with high-speed Wi-Fi. In recent communications, it emphasized that travelers increasingly filter accommodations by charging availability, meaning hotels without chargers may be excluded from key search results.

The company highlighted value drivers for hotel operators, including attracting higher-spending, eco-conscious guests and extending dwell time that can lift bar and restaurant revenue. EV Connect also noted that EV charging can enhance a property’s visibility and ranking on platforms such as Expedia and Google Maps, potentially improving digital discovery and conversion.

At the same time, EV Connect is leaning into software-driven loyalty tools to differentiate its charging network in a crowded market. Its EVouchers product enables site operators to offer instant digital discounts and integrate incentives with existing loyalty programs, aiming to increase station utilization and encourage repeat visits.

By layering EVouchers and similar tools on top of basic charging hardware, the company is signaling a move up the value chain toward higher-margin, recurring software revenue. This approach could deepen customer stickiness, strengthen pricing power, and create cross-selling opportunities across EV Connect’s broader software and network offerings as EV adoption and amenity-driven charging demand continue to grow.
