energyRe has allocated $25,000 to House of Hope of the Pee Dee, aligning its growing solar development footprint in Darlington, Florence, and Williamsburg counties with a visible community investment in homelessness and addiction services. The contribution, which includes sponsorship of House of Hope’s March 9 Evening of Hope fundraiser in Florence, is structured as general support funding to help sustain shelter, meals, and recovery programs serving up to 120 people per night across the region.
For energyRe, the donation underscores its stated “community first” development model as it advances a U.S. portfolio totaling roughly 16 gigawatts of generation, transmission, storage, and distributed projects, where local partnerships can affect permitting optics, stakeholder relations, and long-term social license to operate. House of Hope leadership said the funds will reinforce operating capacity for more than 45,000 nights of shelter and nearly 100,000 meals annually, while energyRe’s community partnerships team framed the move as a strategic investment in regional stability and workforce resilience that complements its expanding clean‑energy infrastructure in South Carolina.
