Emobi has entered a collaboration with Blink Charging to fold more than 56,000 of Blink’s networked EV charging ports into Emobi’s unified roaming and JustPlug ecosystem, significantly expanding Emobi’s addressable footprint across North America. By aggregating Blink’s fleet, multifamily, workplace, campus, and public chargers, Emobi aims to streamline driver access through existing automaker, fleet, and app-based interfaces, positioning itself as a central interoperability layer in an otherwise fragmented charging landscape.
The agreement, which begins with an initial one-year term, is expected to drive higher utilization for Emobi-integrated chargers and deepen Emobi’s relationships with fleets, app developers, and automakers that rely on normalized data and simplified onboarding. Emobi’s JustPlug technology will also open a path for Blink’s customers to adopt fully automated charging, including ISO-15118 Plug&Charge–style functionality, without hardware or firmware upgrades, enhancing Emobi’s value proposition as a software-first enabler of secure, seamless charging experiences.
According to Emobi CEO Lin Sun Fa, integrating Blink’s widely recognized network supports Emobi’s strategy of giving drivers the flexibility to charge via their preferred platforms while maintaining a consistent, automated user experience. For fleet operators, Emobi’s normalization and data standardization engine is expected to reduce integration complexity, shorten deployment timelines, and support more predictable operations across multiple charging networks, reinforcing Emobi’s role as a neutral connectivity and orchestration layer.
The collaboration comes as EV adoption accelerates and network interoperability becomes a critical constraint for widespread charging access, particularly in North America’s mix of public, workplace, and private chargers. Emobi already integrates with more than 160,000 chargers in the U.S. and Canada and serves over 50 enterprise customers, and the Blink deal further consolidates its position as a trusted backbone infrastructure provider for government, fleet, and automotive stakeholders.
Backed by investors including Florida Funders and Y Combinator and trusted by the U.S. Department of Energy and Department of Transportation, Emobi is using partnerships like this to scale its roaming and JustPlug platforms without incurring the capital intensity of owning physical infrastructure. While financial terms were not disclosed, the added network density and differentiated automation capabilities are likely to enhance Emobi’s strategic leverage with current and prospective partners, and could support future monetization through transaction fees, software licensing, or data services as utilization and roaming volumes increase.
