In Nigeria, Elum’s ePowerControl MC solar controller and ePowerMonitor platform were deployed by Phenergy Solutions at The Kensington Hotel microgrid. The system coordinates grid, battery, and diesel generator assets in real time, aiming to cut fuel dependency, improve uptime, and give operators live visibility into performance.

These capabilities are positioned to help customers manage volatile fuel costs and unreliable grid conditions, especially in hospitality and commercial settings. Successful performance at this reference site could support additional microgrid wins in emerging markets where resilience and hybrid energy systems are increasingly critical.

In Europe, Elum highlighted the use of its ePowerControl PPC and ePowerSCADA solutions at a 2.6 MWp solar plant on a repurposed landfill developed by CVE. The project emphasizes precise power control, peak shaving, and grid-compliant operation, reflecting growing regulatory and technical demands on distributed solar assets.

The landfill plant, expected to generate roughly 4,150 MWh annually, also demonstrates Elum’s role in higher-value, software-driven control rather than commodity hardware. This focus may help the company defend margins and differentiate its offering as grid-integration and real-time monitoring become more important in the European market.

Elum also advanced its South Asian strategy by formalizing a distribution partnership with Industomation Engineering Solutions in Pakistan, announced around the Solar Pakistan event. The collaboration combines Elum’s control and monitoring technology with IES’s local expertise to support hybrid energy systems and business continuity solutions.

Pakistan’s solar market is projected to expand significantly over the coming years, and the new partnership is intended to improve customer access and execution capabilities on the ground. This channel could open incremental revenue opportunities tied to reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational visibility for industrial and commercial clients.

Separately, Elum is expanding in Italy by recruiting an Italian Sales Manager based in Milan to lead solar and storage sales. With more than 2,800 plants equipped globally, operations in over 90 countries, and over 65 open Italian deals last year, the company is seeking to convert an active pipeline into recurring software and services revenues.

The focus in Italy is on utility-scale and commercial and industrial projects that require sophisticated grid integration solutions. By adding local sales capacity and leveraging a dedicated engineering team, Elum aims to deepen penetration in a key European market while supporting long-term monitoring and control contracts.

Overall, the week underscored Elum Energy’s strategy of pairing international expansion with technically demanding, grid-focused projects. These developments collectively point to steady progress in strengthening the company’s competitive position in global renewable control and microgrid solutions.
