According to a recent LinkedIn post from Earthmover, the company has launched the Earthmover Data Marketplace featuring seven data partners focused on weather, climate and energy-relevant datasets. The post highlights offerings such as low-latency, AI-ready ECMWF forecast feeds from Brightband, downscaled climate projections from the Climate Uncertainty Lab and a Helios AI-derived solar irradiance dataset from Zeus AI.

The marketplace also reportedly includes a subseasonal multi-model S2S ensemble from the University of Oklahoma’s Subseasonal Consortium, free and open ARCO weather data cubes from Dynamical, seasonal forecast products from Planette AI and a fine-tuned AIFS model for wind power prediction from Beyond Weather. As described in the post, access to the marketplace is free, with a mix of free and paid dataset subscriptions.
For investors, the initiative suggests Earthmover is positioning itself as an infrastructure and distribution layer for specialized climate and weather data, which could support recurring revenue through data subscriptions. The aggregation of multiple niche providers into a single marketplace may also enhance network effects and customer stickiness, potentially improving Earthmover’s competitive standing in the growing climate and energy analytics ecosystem.
If the marketplace gains traction among energy, finance and climate-tech users, it could expand Earthmover’s addressable market while creating upsell opportunities for higher-value analytics and platform services. However, the post does not provide information on current customer adoption, pricing scale or revenue impact, leaving the financial materiality of this launch uncertain at this stage.
