The LinkedIn post describes datasets ranging from low-latency ECMWF operational forecast feeds and machine-learning weather prediction archives to downscaled, bias-corrected climate projections and solar irradiance data. Additional offerings reportedly include subseasonal multi-model S2S ensembles, free ARCO weather data cubes, seasonal forecast products, and a wind power–oriented AIFS model.
For investors, the marketplace initiative suggests an effort by Earthmover to build a recurring-revenue data platform around weather, climate, and energy analytics, potentially increasing its value proposition to developers, energy companies, and climate-risk users. If adoption grows, the mix of free and paid access could help drive user acquisition at low cost while creating an upsell path into higher-margin subscription datasets.
The collaboration with academic and commercial partners may strengthen Earthmover’s positioning in the climate and weather data ecosystem by broadening coverage, improving model quality, and enhancing credibility with technical users. Over time, a successful marketplace could deepen network effects for the platform, making it more difficult for competitors to replicate the combined partner offering and possibly supporting higher pricing power for premium data products.
