DLP Capital has appointed Holly Wasson as Managing Director of Marketing, Communications, and Events, adding a senior operator to its executive team as the firm marks its 20th anniversary and pursues faster national expansion. CEO Don Wenner said the hire is intended to strengthen the firm’s brand and deepen investor engagement as demand rises for its private real estate funds.
Wasson will oversee all marketing, communications, and events with a mandate to upgrade marketing technology, data analytics, and audience segmentation to drive measurable gains in assets under management and investor participation. Her remit spans corporate communications, product and performance marketing, thought leadership, lead generation, and large-scale investor events in support of DLP Capital’s strategy of impact-focused investments in workforce housing.
The firm currently manages more than $5.5 billion in assets across multifamily and single‑family rental communities for working families, and is using this communications build‑out to support scaling of both open‑ended and closed‑ended private real estate funds. Wasson, who previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at Capital Investment Advisors and held senior roles at We Are Rosie, SunTrust Bank, and Turner, brings nearly three decades of experience in integrated campaigns that are expected to translate into more efficient capital raising and broader market visibility.
Her background includes helping grow a marketing startup to a $110 million valuation and leading brand initiatives for major consumer and financial brands, experience DLP Capital aims to leverage as it competes for investor capital in a crowded private real estate and alternatives market. Positioning itself as an impact investor focused on safe, attainable housing, DLP Capital expects that a more sophisticated marketing and communications function will support long‑term fundraising capacity, reinforce its mission narrative with institutional and accredited investors, and underpin continued geographic and portfolio expansion.
