The company is promoting the fourth session of its SORA 2.5 webinar series, titled “SORA 2.5 in Practice: Session 4 Access to Airspace: Meeting SORA Tactical Mitigation and Performance Requirements,” scheduled for January 21 from 15:00–16:00 CET. The session focuses on airspace access challenges for unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operators, tactical mitigation strategies to meet SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment) performance requirements, and case studies on successful airspace access solutions. DJI is hosting the webinar in partnership with Unifly and directing users to prior sessions in the series.
For investors, this initiative highlights DJI’s ongoing investment in regulatory education and compliance-oriented solutions within the enterprise drone segment, including beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) and automated operations (e.g., DJI Dock). By helping operators understand and meet SORA requirements, DJI reinforces its positioning as a key player in professional and regulatory-compliant drone operations, which is critical as regulators globally tighten requirements around UAS usage. While the webinar itself is not a direct revenue driver, it supports ecosystem development, customer retention, and product adoption in regulated commercial markets—factors that can underpin longer-term demand for DJI’s enterprise platforms and software partnerships. The collaboration with Unifly also underscores DJI’s strategy of integrating with airspace management and UTM (unmanned traffic management) providers, which may strengthen its competitive position as drone traffic scales and more commercial use cases depend on safe, compliant airspace access.
