Didero, a generative AI startup focused on automating global procurement for manufacturers and distributors, has secured a $30 million Series A round co-led by Chemistry and Headline, with additional capital from Microsoft’s venture arm M12. Founded in 2023 by CEO Tim Spencer, former McKinsey procurement specialist Lorenz Pallhuber, and technologist Tom Petit, the company aims to remove manual friction from sourcing, negotiation, order tracking, and payments across complex, multi-country supply chains.

The platform acts as an agentic AI layer on top of existing ERP systems, ingesting unstructured communications such as emails, WeChat messages, purchase orders, and packing lists, then autonomously updating systems of record and executing procurement tasks. Didero targets the supply chain side of spend, differentiating itself from corporate purchasing tools by focusing on raw material and input sourcing rather than internal buy-side workflows, and it claims to cover the full journey from initial quote to final payment. While competitors like Cavela and Pietra handle specific portions of supplier discovery and pricing negotiations for smaller brands, Didero is positioning itself as an end-to-end solution for larger, globally active manufacturers and distributors, already serving dozens of customers including sustainable packaging provider Footprint. The new funding will likely support product scaling, deeper ERP integrations, and commercial expansion as generative AI adoption accelerates in procurement operations, with the company betting that automation of natural language-driven trade flows can materially reduce headcount-intensive processes and improve supply chain resilience for its clients.
