DeNexus Showcases Cyber Risk Quantification Use Case for European Grid Operator

According to a recent LinkedIn post from DeNexus, the company’s DeRISK CRQ platform was used alongside an existing OT visibility system at a leading European transmission system operator. The post describes how DeRISK CRQ ingested telemetry from three industrial substations over nine weeks to translate technical cyber risk into board-level financial metrics.

The LinkedIn post highlights quantified outcomes, including a reported 46% increase in annual expected loss accuracy after hidden vulnerabilities were incorporated into the model. It also suggests that one substation was identified as contributing 36% of total portfolio risk, and that a $60,000 backup and recovery project was shown to deliver greater risk reduction than a $150,000 remote access project.

According to the post, DeRISK CRQ enabled the customer to compare three competing security projects by dollar-denominated return on investment, potentially influencing capital allocation decisions. For investors, this use case points to DeNexus’s focus on bridging OT telemetry with cyber risk quantification, a capability that may strengthen its value proposition to critical infrastructure operators facing tightening regulatory and risk oversight.

The post further implies that combining network visibility with financial quantification could improve how industrial clients prioritize cybersecurity budgets and justify spending to risk committees. If such outcomes are replicated at scale, DeNexus could see increased demand from operators seeking measurable risk-reduction metrics, which may support future revenue growth and reinforce its positioning in the industrial cybersecurity and CRQ niche.
