Delve, a compliance startup already under heavy scrutiny, has been further damaged by confirmation that it handled security certifications for Context AI, whose app was implicated in a recent Vercel data breach. Context AI and other former clients are now abandoning Delve and seeking fresh certifications, underscoring mounting concerns over the integrity and value of Delve’s compliance work.
The company is battling whistleblower allegations of fabricated customer data, rubber-stamped audits, misappropriated open source code, and refusal to issue refunds, all of which contributed to Y Combinator cutting ties. Following reported incidents at customers such as LiteLLM and Lovable, both of which have replaced Delve and restarted their compliance processes, the startup faces reputational, legal, and commercial risk, with trust in its certifications eroding and no public response beyond a declined comment.
