Deep Sky has signed a strategic agreement with ENGIE under which the energy group will buy up to 15,000 carbon removal credits generated from Deep Sky’s direct air capture facilities, providing early offtake support for the company’s emerging project pipeline and revenue visibility for its DAC and storage platform. The partnership also includes coordinated market development for durable carbon removal, positioning Deep Sky as a key supplier as corporate and utility buyers seek high-integrity credits to meet tightening decarbonization targets.

Beyond credit procurement, Deep Sky and ENGIE will jointly research how direct air capture can respond to variable energy loads and be integrated into modern power systems, work that is expected to improve energy efficiency, lower operating costs, and de-risk future large-scale deployments. Deep Sky, which operates a technology-agnostic model and runs the Deep Sky Alpha commercialization site in Alberta, will use operational data from these collaborations to refine project design and inform future global DAC rollouts, while demonstrating credit quality on permanence, additionality, and transparency for major institutional buyers.
