Dataminr has introduced Dataminr for Cyber Defense, a new suite of cyber threat and exposure management products that unifies intelligence from its ThreatConnect acquisition with customers’ internal telemetry to drive automated, risk-prioritized responses. The platform is built around agentic and predictive AI, linking Dataminr’s real-time external signal collection to an organization’s internal posture so security teams can move from reactive alert handling to proactive defense based on business and financial impact.
The suite launches with three integrated offerings: Client-Tailored Threat Intelligence, which filters and contextualizes external threats in real time using internal telemetry; Agentic TI Ops, which unifies Dataminr intelligence with other commercial and in-house feeds to automate investigation and distribution workflows; and Predictive Threat Exposure Management, a CTEM solution that quantifies cyber risk, assesses controls, and prioritizes vulnerabilities by business impact rather than raw alert volume. These products position Dataminr as an early mover in operationalizing Unified Cyber Risk Intelligence and CTEM concepts highlighted by Gartner, aiming to modernize legacy SOC models by continuously fusing live threat data, exposure, and risk into a single decision framework.
CEO Ted Bailey frames the launch as the realization of Dataminr’s strategy behind acquiring ThreatConnect, arguing that static threat feeds are obsolete if they are not tied directly to an organization’s real-time posture and potential financial loss. Dataminr’s architecture, powered by more than 55 proprietary LLMs and a 12-year event archive spanning over one million public data sources, underpins these new capabilities with multimodal signal fusion and AI agents that deliver live briefs and predictive guidance on threat progression.
Customer deployments cited by the company indicate measurable operational gains, with most clients reporting higher efficiency from existing SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint tools, and roughly two-thirds cutting mean time to respond by more than half. Dataminr links this speed directly to financial outcomes, noting that its proprietary loss data show multimillion-dollar incremental losses for every 10 days a breach remains undetected, which strengthens the business case for automated, AI-driven threat management.
Strategically, Dataminr for Cyber Defense deepens the company’s presence in enterprise and public-sector security budgets by embedding its intelligence into customers’ existing stacks instead of competing as a standalone point solution. Partnerships with major channel and government-focused integrators expand its go-to-market reach, while the planned demonstrations at RSA Conference 2026 are designed to accelerate adoption among security leaders seeking to consolidate tools and modernize SOC operations.
For executives, the launch signifies Dataminr’s pivot from primarily external, real-time alerting to an end-to-end cyber risk platform that can directly influence operational resilience, compliance posture, and loss prevention. If the company can scale adoption across its installed base of large enterprises and government agencies, Dataminr for Cyber Defense could drive higher recurring revenue per customer, increase platform stickiness, and sharpen Dataminr’s competitive positioning in the converging markets of threat intelligence, exposure management, and AI-enabled cyber operations.
