DataBank Expands Atlanta-Area Capacity With Large-Scale Lithia Springs Campus

According to a recent LinkedIn post from DataBank, construction is progressing at its Lithia Springs data center campus near Atlanta, where the ATL5 and ATL6 facilities are taking shape. The post highlights foundational work including generator yards, substations, and structural and MEP systems, which are described as being designed for long-term scale, reliability, and control.

The campus is presented as spanning 95 acres and targeting delivery of up to 120MW of critical IT load, supported by an adjacent Georgia Power substation and dark fiber connectivity into DataBank’s existing Atlanta network. The post suggests that ATL5 and ATL6 are positioned as modern digital infrastructure assets, emphasizing owned land, expandable capacity, and proximity to connectivity as core attributes.

For investors, the described expansion indicates continued capital deployment into large-scale, power-dense facilities that could cater to cloud, AI, and enterprise workloads in a key Southeast U.S. market.
