d-Matrix has acquired the data center business of GigaIO, adding rack-scale infrastructure technology and systems engineering expertise to its low-latency AI inference platform. The deal builds on a 2025 collaboration and is intended to accelerate deployment of large-scale inference systems that combine d-Matrix’s Corsair accelerators, JetStream networking, Aviator software and its SquadRack rack-level reference design.
Under the transaction, d-Matrix gains GigaIO’s core data center products, including the SuperNODE architecture and the FabreX PCIe-based memory fabric, which are expected to underpin its system-level infrastructure roadmap. While GigaIO, Inc. will continue independently with an edge-computing focus, d-Matrix is integrating this technology and a systems engineering team in Carlsbad, Calif., expanding its global footprint to six R&D hubs and positioning the company to address AI inference as a full-stack systems challenge spanning chips, nodes, racks and entire data centers.
