Cribl has introduced an AI-driven background detection capability for Cribl Guard that continuously scans live logs, traces, and events to uncover previously unknown patterns of sensitive data before they reach downstream systems. The new feature keeps the custom AI model inside Cribl Workers rather than external DLP tools, allowing enterprises to analyze and mitigate exposure risks without data leaving their own infrastructure.

By detecting new patterns of PII, secrets, and regulated data in flight, Cribl aims to shift customers from static, rule-based policies to continuous, AI-led risk discovery and prevention, reducing costly remediation once data lands in SIEMs, data lakes, or observability platforms. The capability immediately surfaces findings in the Cribl interface, where security and observability teams can review full-context samples, dismiss false positives, or turn detections into enforceable Guard rules in a single step, tightening the feedback loop between detection and protection.
