CoX Space, a Seoul-based AI and spatial computing company, is positioning itself as a key interface provider for the emerging augmented reality (AR) glasses market by scaling its VANZY gesture-control ring globally. The company has raised $854,000 through nine crowdfunding campaigns on platforms including Kickstarter, Indiegogo, Makuake, and Wadiz, attracting 8,200 backers across 60 countries and achieving 7,600 daily active users. VANZY, now in its 3.0 iteration and shipping to backers, aims to replace traditional touchscreens with mid-air gesture controls, offering a $49 entry point for consumers into spatial computing interfaces. CoX Space is targeting a long-term opportunity in a projected $450 billion AR glasses market by 2030, where the interaction layer—how users control and navigate devices—remains a critical unsolved challenge.
Beyond consumer hardware, CoX Space brings significant enterprise AI capabilities that underpin VANZY’s technology and support its credibility with large clients. The company develops Samsung’s smart factory AI platform, processing around 15 billion data points daily, and has also built systems for Samsung Display and the Korean Air Force. VANZY’s core engine, the Gesture Machine Learning Recorder (GML), compresses enterprise-grade MLOps into a compact ring form factor by combining vision tracking, gesture machine learning, and 9DoF sensors, enabling the device to learn individual user movements and improve accuracy over time. The latest VANZY 3.0 release introduces an “App Mouse” feature that delivers predefined gesture sets for everyday services such as YouTube, Netflix, and Spotify, allowing users to manage play/pause, navigation, and volume without touching a screen. For executives, the key implications are that CoX Space now has validated global demand, recurring daily usage, and a scalable AI-driven interface platform that could be licensed or integrated into future AR ecosystems from major industry players seeking efficient, battery-conscious, and socially acceptable interaction methods.
