ControlMonkey has expanded its cloud configuration disaster recovery platform to cover network infrastructure, adding automated recovery for configurations across major providers such as Cloudflare, Fastly, Akamai, and F5. The system now captures daily, versioned snapshots of critical network control-plane elements, including route tables, CDN settings, security groups, firewall policies, DNS records, and edge routing rules, enabling rapid restoration after incidents like misconfigurations or cyberattacks.
This move positions ControlMonkey as a unified control-plane resilience provider that goes beyond traditional data-centric disaster recovery by protecting both cloud infrastructure and network configuration, an area highlighted by recent high-profile Cloudflare outages where routing and DNS errors disrupted millions of users despite workloads remaining operational. By allowing teams to redeploy networking policies directly from stored configurations rather than manually rebuilding them during outages, ControlMonkey aims to materially reduce recovery times and operational risk for enterprises running complex, distributed environments, and will promote these capabilities at DevOps Live London in early March as it targets further adoption among cloud-centric organizations.
