CometChat Raises $6.5 Million to Accelerate AI Agent Platform for Enterprise Customers

CometChat has secured $6.5 million in strategic funding from existing backer Run Ventures to accelerate development and deployment of its AI-driven in-app communication platform, bringing total capital raised to $21.1 million to date. The company plans to use the new funds to deepen its AI capabilities across three core areas: proactive outbound intelligence that autonomously contacts customers based on operational triggers, multi-agent orchestration to coordinate specialized AI agents, and a customer intelligence layer that continuously personalizes interactions across digital channels.

Built on six years of production-grade communication infrastructure, CometChat AI is positioned as a no-code conversational agent layer that sits between enterprises and their customers, aimed at high-transaction verticals such as wellness and beauty, home services, e-commerce, hospitality and food service where retention and revenue uplift are closely tied to responsiveness and proactive outreach. CEO and cofounder Anuj Garg said the round is specifically intended to accelerate the company’s AI go-to-market motion, while investor Run Ventures noted strong early traction from enterprise pilots and framed the raise as growth capital to expedite CometChat’s AI strategy; over the next 12 to 18 months, management is prioritizing scaling AI deployments, expanding go-to-market coverage, and building category leadership, with the company also recently recognized on Forbes’ 2026 list of Top 500 American Startup Employers.
