ClickHouse Use Case Highlights Performance and Cost Gains in Ad-Tech Analytics

According to a recent LinkedIn post from ClickHouse, digital advertising platform InMobi has reportedly migrated a core publisher reporting workload, dubbed “Project Velocity,” onto ClickHouse technology. The post highlights performance gains at terabyte scale, with claimed P99 latency improvements from more than 60 seconds to under three seconds for real-time decisioning workloads.

The LinkedIn post also suggests material infrastructure cost reductions, citing a monthly spend decrease from about $40,000 to $8,000 and more predictable, step-function cost scaling as data volumes grow. It notes that the system now supports more than 400,000 queries per day on 10 TB of data, compressed to roughly 500 GB, and that the implementation is being reused for additional analytics use cases.

For investors, this reference case may signal strengthening product-market fit for ClickHouse in high-volume ad-tech analytics, a sector that demands both low latency and cost efficiency. Demonstrated ability to displace traditional data warehouses in such environments could support future enterprise adoption, bolster pricing power, and improve the company’s competitive position against other analytical database vendors.

If similar large-scale customers replicate these reported benefits, ClickHouse could expand its footprint in performance-sensitive verticals where infrastructure costs are a key driver of vendor selection. While the post is promotional and does not disclose contract values or revenue impact, it nonetheless points to customer validation that may underpin ClickHouse’s long-term growth narrative in cloud data infrastructure.
