Circadian Risk has appointed Danny Hyun as Vice President of Engineering, a move aimed at accelerating product development and scaling its enterprise risk analysis SaaS platform following its recent Series A funding. Hyun, effective in the role as of March 2, will oversee platform architecture, product engineering, data science, and infrastructure as the company pushes deeper into scenario-based, physical risk assessment for large organizations.
CEO Michael Martin said Hyun was selected for his alignment with the company’s customer-first culture and his track record in solving complex engineering problems from the end user’s perspective. Hyun, who previously led engineering at Veracode and has more than two decades of experience building enterprise software in both startups and growth-stage environments, noted that Circadian Risk’s current phase offers significant latitude to innovate while merging digital analytics with real-world physical security challenges.
Hyun emphasized that Circadian Risk’s customers manage tangible, on-site risks rather than digital-only platforms, and that his priority is to streamline workflows for security teams conducting site walks, assessments, and compliance checks. His mandate includes strengthening the company’s core technology stack and building an engineering organization centered on experimentation, curiosity, and rapid translation of customer needs into product capabilities.
Founder and Chief Innovation Officer Daniel Young said the Series A financing is being used to speed up delivery of new features and improve the platform’s ability to model multiple threat, hazard, and compliance scenarios in near real time. Circadian Risk’s software provides online and offline assessments, score-based risk analytics, and interactive dashboards to help enterprises quantify exposure, close security and compliance gaps, and improve decision-making across their physical asset footprint.
