Chord, an AI platform built to run core commerce operations, has secured $7 million in new funding led by Equal Ventures, with participation from existing backer M13 and new investors Chingona Ventures and CEAS Investments. The capital will be used to accelerate development of Chord’s agent infrastructure and expand deployment across mid-market and enterprise commerce and retail brands with annual revenue between $20 million and $1 billion.

Positioning itself as an operational system rather than another analytics layer, Chord unifies data, business rules, historical decisions, and constraints into a living “context graph” that allows AI to make and execute decisions in real time. The platform is already used by dozens of brands collectively generating over $1 billion in revenue, including Mr. Beast’s commerce operations, Ritual, Ruggable, Rodan + Fields, and Blue Bottle Coffee, and is seeing organic expansion inside customers as teams increasingly open Chord before legacy business intelligence tools. CEO Bryan Mahoney said the company has rebuilt the product so AI operates with full operational context “as the engine behind decisions and execution,” with customers reporting that workflows that once required multiple teams and weeks of coordination are now compressed into minutes and that Chord’s Copilot usage has tripled as merchants seek to centralize fragmented systems without ripping out existing core infrastructure.
