Celera Semiconductor has strengthened its leadership bench with the appointment of industry veteran Paul MacMillan to oversee manufacturing operations, supply chain, and quality as the company accelerates its production ramp through 2026 and beyond. Based in Santa Clara, the analog IC specialist is scaling up to meet growing customer demand for custom and standard analog devices developed via its AI-driven design automation platform, underpinned by its patented Nesto digital-twin technology. CEO Pat Brockett said the move is aimed at building a world-class manufacturing and supply capability to ensure rapid, reliable delivery of new analog ICs, positioning Celera to translate its design-speed advantage into sustained, high-volume supply. MacMillan brings extensive experience from prior roles at Motorola, Telcom, and particularly Summit Micro, where he built a supply chain that delivered millions of ICs into smartphone, consumer, and networking markets.

In his new role, MacMillan will focus on coordinating Celera’s network of manufacturing and packaging partners, including Vanguard International Semiconductor and ASE, to secure capacity, enhance quality systems, and support cost-competitive volume production. He emphasized that Celera’s AI-enabled design process allows customers to obtain tailored analog ICs quickly, with the manufacturing and supply-chain infrastructure now being scaled to match that speed with consistent, high-quality output. The company’s strategy combines software acceleration in design with leveraged external manufacturing, reducing time-to-market and capex intensity relative to traditional analog IC models. Backed by major investor Maverick Silicon, Celera is positioning itself as a high-velocity supplier of analog solutions supporting broader AI and infrastructure markets. For executives and stakeholders, this appointment signals a transition from primarily technology validation to disciplined operational execution at scale, with supply-chain robustness and quality management emerging as critical levers for growth, customer retention, and future revenue expansion.
