Cadastral, Inc., a New York-based AI-native software company focused on commercial real estate, has raised $9.5 million from investors including Navitas, JLL Spark Global Ventures, AvalonBay, Equity Residential, and 1Sharpe to accelerate product development and go-to-market expansion. The funding underpins Cadastral’s push to position its “AI analyst in a box” as core infrastructure for real estate, private equity, and private credit workflows across the CRE value chain.
Since debuting its flagship product in late 2025, Cadastral has signed more than 40 customers and is seeing broad uptake across acquisitions, asset management, lease administration, occupier services, legal, lending, and capital markets functions. CEO and co-founder Abhinav “Abe” Somani, who previously built and sold AI document-intelligence firm Leverton to MRI Software, is leveraging his two decades of real estate and enterprise software experience to build vertically specialized AI tools tailored for CRE data, documents, and decision processes.
Cadastral’s platform supports T-12 analysis, lease abstraction, loan compliance, acquisitions due diligence, and end-to-end underwriting, differentiating itself from horizontal AI providers by offering domain-specific agents that work out of the box without customer-specific training. The company emphasizes that client data is not used to train underlying models, a key consideration for institutional users managing sensitive financial and legal documents.
Lead investor Navitas Capital highlighted a thesis that vertical AI with deep domain understanding will capture disproportionate value in foundational industries, noting early parallels with prior investments in sector-focused AI platforms. JLL Spark Global Ventures pointed to Cadastral’s rapid scaling across multiple JLL use cases and the speed to value for internal teams as evidence of product-market fit in a historically slow-moving industry.
Co-founder and CTO Aman Dhesi, who previously built large-scale AI systems at Meta, DoorDash, and Square, is driving the technical architecture required to serve both small owner-operators and large public REITs on the same platform. Cadastral integrates with leading document management systems such as SharePoint, Box, and Dropbox, as well as core real estate software like Yardi, positioning it to plug directly into existing CRE technology stacks.
Management frames the company’s mission as democratizing access to institutional-grade AI agents for real estate and private equity professionals globally, aiming to compress analysis tasks from hours to seconds and standardize decision-quality outputs. For executives and investors in the CRE ecosystem, Cadastral’s latest funding round signals accelerating AI adoption in underwriting, portfolio management, and compliance, with potential to reshape cost structures, staffing models, and the speed of capital deployment across the sector.
