Brightspeed has introduced a Whole Home WiFi offering for new fiber internet customers, positioning the product as a key lever to enhance its fiber economics and competitive standing. The service combines an intelligent WiFi 7 mesh platform with professional installation and up to two optimally placed extenders, aiming to guarantee room-to-room coverage and eliminate in-home dead zones, which the company expects will improve customer satisfaction and reduce churn.
The launch follows Brightspeed’s rollout of a 5-gigabit fiber plan and builds on an accelerated fiber build that now passes more than 2.8 million locations across its 20-state footprint. Executives say the bundled value—free expert installation, a free router, a free first month of Whole Home WiFi, and a prepaid reward card for qualifying customers—supports subscriber acquisition while strengthening the in-home experience, which CEO Michel Combes links directly to higher retention and long-term revenue growth as the company continues to expand its fiber network.
