Brevel Ltd – Weekly Recap

Brevel plans to open this biomanufacturing infrastructure to other innovators working with microalgae and plant cell cultures, signaling a shift toward a platform and services model. While commercialization timelines and pricing remain undisclosed, the move could diversify future revenue streams beyond the company’s own product pipeline.

On the commercial front, Brevel reported “exciting leads” from the WorldFood Poland 2026 trade show, where Chief Business Officer Yfah Burstin met potential partners across the European food and beverage ecosystem. The company highlighted traction in nutraceutical and functional ingredient applications, supported by networking activities, including Women in Nutraceuticals initiatives.

Brevel is also preparing a strong presence at Vitafoods Europe 2026 in Barcelona, aiming to deepen its role in the global nutraceuticals market. The company will showcase Purallis, a pure Chlorella powder produced via illuminated fermentation and positioned as a clean-label ingredient rich in vitamin B12, lutein, and zeaxanthin.

Meetings at Vitafoods with formulators, brands, and distributors are intended to build distribution and formulation partnerships for Purallis and related microalgae-based ingredients. If these relationships progress, they could enhance Brevel’s commercial footprint in functional nutrition and alternative proteins, though no specific contracts have yet been announced.

Internally, Brevel held a two-day annual offsite focused on execution, team cohesion, and organizational improvement. Employees engaged in open discussions across hierarchy levels, identifying root problems, proposing more efficient workflows, and even requesting stricter adherence to deadlines to accelerate progress toward targets.

Management emphasized transparency and cross-level dialogue, with staff feedback extending to management performance and team dynamics. Informal activities such as group jogging and a cocktail workshop complemented the work sessions, underlining an effort to balance accountability with culture and retention.

Taken together, the new grant funding, expanding European commercial pipeline, upcoming Vitafoods showcase, and execution-focused offsite suggest that Brevel is simultaneously strengthening its technology base, market reach, and organizational discipline. The overall week underscored early commercial momentum and structural steps that could support the company’s long-term growth trajectory.
