Bitsight has appointed software industry veteran John Clancy as chief executive officer, signaling a new growth phase centered on AI-driven cyber risk intelligence and operational scaling. He replaces Steve Harvey, who led the company through a fourfold expansion over the past six years and will remain an adviser to the board, ensuring continuity as leadership transitions.
Clancy, formerly Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Operations at PSG Equity, brings more than 25 years of experience scaling high-growth software businesses, improving commercial performance, and driving AI-enabled transformation across a portfolio of over 100 companies. Board leaders and investors emphasize that his background in AI strategy, product innovation, and operational efficiency is expected to extend Bitsight’s market lead in cyber risk intelligence and accelerate innovation for its base of more than 3,500 customers and 75,000 active organizations on its platform.
