Aura has strengthened its position in the family online-safety market as its Aura Parents app secured the Common Sense Privacy Seal, a designation awarded to fewer than 10% of evaluated products and reserved for services that surpass regulatory privacy requirements. The certification follows a detailed review and commits Aura to ongoing quarterly monitoring and annual policy updates, signaling a sustained investment in data governance and trust as competitive differentiators.
Aura Parents, a core product in Aura’s portfolio, combines traditional parental controls such as content blocking, screen-time management, and the Pause the Internet feature with more advanced AI-driven capabilities, including a Digital Wellbeing Score that tracks how screen use affects children, tone analysis of social media interactions, and alerts for high-risk AI chatbot apps. CEO Hari Ravichandran framed the seal as validation of Aura’s strategy to deliver AI-powered protection that balances visibility with privacy, positioning the company to capture increasing demand from parents and regulators focused on child safety and data protection.
