Aura is moving aggressively into the managed service provider market with Aura Business for MSPs, positioning its identity-centric BYOD platform as a direct answer to a growing security and revenue gap highlighted in a new Omdia whitepaper the company commissioned. The study of 319 U.S. MSPs shows that while 79% monitor corporate laptops, only 24% monitor employee-owned devices, even though 55% reported at least one BYOD-related incident in the past two years and 65% had clients request help on this risk.

By focusing on identity rather than full device control, Aura Business for MSPs aims to let providers enforce access policies, monitor device health, and automatically restrict access when risk is detected, without assuming ownership of or accessing personal data on employee devices. The Omdia data indicates strong commercial potential for Aura, with 92% of MSPs seeing a path to offering BYOD services and many seeking structured help on technical controls, best practices, and policy design, suggesting Aura’s solution could become a recurring, high-margin add-on in MSP security stacks as pricing pressure intensifies on traditional IT services.
