Artemis, the AI-driven operating system for distributed energy and formerly known as Monalee, has raised $6 million in a round co-led by Long Journey Ventures and Copec’s WIND Ventures to accelerate product development and market expansion. The company’s platform combines automated system design, embedded financing, and compliance workflows for residential solar, battery, and home-energy projects, cutting quote and design timelines from days to seconds and reducing software costs by up to 72%, with some customers reporting 5× higher conversion rates.

Originally founded in 2019 as a vertically integrated solar and storage installer, Artemis pivoted in 2024 to monetize its in-house software as a standalone platform for contractors and energy players, positioning itself as the digital backbone for a distributed, grid-edge energy market estimated at over $200 billion. The company has also appointed former Shell Ventures investor Alexander Urban as CFO to impose capital discipline and support scaling after reporting 27× growth in the past nine months, while new pilots with Copec in Chile and Colombia are intended to seed a broader Latin American rollout as Artemis deepens integrations with financiers and permitting partners and expands engineering, support, and sales capacity across the U.S. and international markets.
