Armada has joined the VAST Cosmos Community through a strategic technology partnership with VAST Data, positioning its edge and modular data center platform at the core of a new generation of private and distributed AI factories. The integrated stack combines Armada’s Galleon modular data centers and Armada Edge Platform with the VAST AI Operating System, allowing enterprises to deploy, operate, and scale AI workloads wherever data is created while preserving data sovereignty, security, and consistent operations.
Galleon, designed for high-density AI compute, enables customers to stand up AI factory infrastructure in remote, disconnected, or highly regulated locations, with the VAST AI OS embedded to provide high-performance storage and data services without separate integration work. The Armada Edge Platform adds GPU-as-a-Service and orchestration capabilities, tightly integrated with VAST’s global DataSpace namespace so that data and models can move seamlessly across core, regional, and edge sites as part of one unified AI production fabric.
By entering the VAST Cosmos Community, Armada can now support customers building private AI factories within controlled environments, distributed AI factories across multiple jurisdictions, and globally connected AI estates that still meet regulatory, national security, and data residency requirements. Armada executives emphasize that the combination of modular data centers, disaggregated data architecture, and GPU-as-a-Service software is intended to “industrialize” AI in sovereign and distributed contexts, reducing integration friction for enterprises.
The joint solution targets high-value use cases including real-time inference at the edge, large-scale model training, autonomous systems, industrial automation, healthcare AI, and defense and government missions where uptime, locality, and compliance are critical. For Armada, the partnership broadens its addressable market beyond edge infrastructure toward full-stack AI factory deployments, promising shorter rollout timelines, lower operational complexity, improved performance, and faster realization of business value for customers operating in challenging or regulated environments.
