Armada has launched its first Galleon Experience Center at Carahsoft’s Reston, Virginia headquarters, positioning the company at the center of a growing market for sovereign, edge-based AI infrastructure in government and critical sectors. The center showcases Armada’s Galleons—modular, self-sufficient data centers powered by the Armada Edge Platform (AEP)—which range from suitcase-sized units to the 20-foot Cruiser and megawatt-scale deployments, all delivered pre-configured with compute, connectivity, and software to shorten time-to-operation from months to days.

By anchoring the Experience Center inside a major public-sector IT distribution hub, Armada gains direct access to Federal, State, Local, Education, and Healthcare customers who need AI in environments where cloud connectivity is limited or unavailable. Visitors can see live demonstrations inside a deployed Cruiser, including on-device drone video analytics and industrial edge intelligence, illustrating how Armada’s systems process and act on data in real time without relying on centralized cloud infrastructure.

Armada is leveraging notable field deployments to validate its strategy and expand its footprint in mission-critical use cases. The U.S. Navy previously deployed Cruiser aboard the USS Cooperstown during UNITAS 2025, enabling full-stack edge computing at sea and creating a template for mobile, secure data centers in power- and bandwidth-constrained maritime settings, which could support broader defense adoption over time.

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities has also adopted Cruiser as a unified connectivity and data platform, using it to cut emergency response latency from 28 hours to real time and to coordinate damage assessments across 34 communities within three days after Typhoon Halong. These outcomes demonstrate tangible operational and resilience gains for infrastructure and emergency management stakeholders, underscoring the value proposition of Armada’s edge architecture in harsh and remote geographies.

Strategically, Armada has deepened its ecosystem by working with Microsoft and Second Front to embed scalable, sovereign AI capabilities directly into Galleons. In 2025, these collaborations supported sensor fusion, information operations, and operational planning for U.S. military use cases, and Microsoft has since agreed to combine Azure Local with Armada’s Galleons to deliver Microsoft’s Sovereign Private Cloud in highly constrained environments.

For Armada, the Reston center and expanded partner integrations reinforce its positioning as a full-stack edge infrastructure provider capable of supporting advanced AI workloads with speed, scale, and data sovereignty. CEO Dan Wright frames the company’s mission as inverting the traditional infrastructure model: instead of missions adapting to fixed IT, Armada’s mobile and modular Galleons are designed to adapt infrastructure to mission needs, shifting customers from cloud-dependent architectures toward distributed, mission-centric intelligence.

The partnership with Carahsoft also creates a clear commercial channel for Armada into the public sector, as Armada Edge Platform is now available through multiple major contract vehicles, including SEWP V, ITES-SW2, NASPO ValuePoint, TIPS, OMNIA Partners, and The Quilt. This contracting footprint reduces procurement friction for agencies and resellers, potentially accelerating deal flow and large-scale deployments across defense, transportation, emergency management, and other regulated domains.

For executives evaluating edge AI strategies, Armada’s moves signal a push toward deployable, sovereign, and rapidly scalable infrastructure that can operate where hyperscale cloud cannot. The Experience Center serves as both a sales accelerator and a proof-of-capability environment, giving decision-makers a tangible view of how Armada’s Galleons can support real-time analytics, operational continuity, and security-sensitive AI workloads in some of the world’s most demanding conditions.
