Armada is expanding its role in distributed artificial intelligence by enabling its Armada Edge Platform to support NVIDIA AI Grid, giving telecom operators, service providers, and enterprises a way to deploy and monetize geographically dispersed, latency-sensitive AI infrastructure at scale. The platform is aligned with NVIDIA’s AI Grid reference design and integrates with key NVIDIA technologies, including RTX PRO servers, HGX systems with Blackwell GPUs, Spectrum-X Ethernet, BlueField DPUs, and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, forming a validated, globally scalable distributed AI stack.
At the core of Armada’s offering is a unified control plane that manages edge-to-core AI resources across existing data centers, centralized AI factories, regional hubs, and edge sites, using workload- and resource-aware orchestration to treat thousands of GPU locations as a single operational platform. This allows Armada to intelligently place and lifecycle-manage AI inference workloads based on latency, proximity, GPU utilization, cost, compliance, and performance requirements, supporting demanding use cases such as conversational AI, AR/XR, real-time video generation, and visual search.
Armada positions itself as the operational backbone for AI Grid deployments, providing edge management, GPU-as-a-service management software, and optional modular data center infrastructure that can be dropped into markets lacking suitable facilities or requiring rapid build-out. The company is already working with partners such as Nscale to support sovereign GPU clouds worldwide, using the Armada Edge Platform to ensure dedicated, policy-controlled connectivity between data sources and GPU workloads for predictable performance and secure, low-latency delivery.
Each AI Grid site managed by Armada includes a secure multi-tenant platform that supports bare metal, virtual machines, storage, and networking, as well as managed Kubernetes and higher-level AI services such as model-as-a-service, SLURM, Jupyter notebooks, and ML workflows, with strong isolation across CPU, GPU, network, and storage to meet security and compliance needs while maximizing GPU efficiency. Where needed, Armada’s Galleon modular data center provides a ruggedized, AI-ready foundation that bundles power, cooling, networking, and compute into a standardized, high-density form factor designed for remote and edge environments.
Armada plans to demonstrate these AI Grid capabilities at NVIDIA’s GTC conference, highlighting live scenarios of distributed site orchestration, secure multi-tenancy, and intelligent workload placement across a large fleet of GPU sites. Founding CTO Pradeep Nair described AI Grid as the next phase of AI infrastructure, with Armada acting as the operational control plane that enables service providers to convert distributed GPU investments into scalable, revenue-generating AI services across telecom and other data-intensive verticals.
