Architect Financial Technologies Inc. has raised $35 million in a strategic Series A round to accelerate the build‑out and global scaling of AX, its newly launched centralized exchange for perpetual futures on traditional asset classes. The capital will support platform growth, product expansion, and institutional onboarding for AX, which is operated by Bermuda‑regulated affiliate Architect Bermuda Ltd. and offers perpetual contracts on foreign exchange, interest rates, single-name equities, equity indices, metals, and other commodities under the Bermuda Monetary Authority framework. The round was led by Miami International Holdings and Tioga Capital, with participation from major financial institutions and trading firms including Galaxy Ventures, ARK Invest, VanEck, Trumid, and Geneva Trading, alongside renewed backing from early investors such as Coinbase Ventures, Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, and Third Kind Venture Capital.

Founder and CEO Brett Harrison positioned the raise as the catalyst for the next phase of AX’s growth, emphasizing the strategic value of having exchange operators, asset managers, and trading firms as investors as Architect aims to reshape global derivatives trading. The new funding follows a $5 million pre-seed round in 2023 and a $12 million seed round in 2024, bringing Architect’s total funding to at least $52 million and underscoring investor conviction in institutional adoption of perpetual futures on traditional assets. AX is currently open to institutional clients in eligible jurisdictions, including hedge funds, market makers, family offices, asset managers, insurers, reinsurers, and lenders, with a waitlist in place for sophisticated individual traders. Beyond AX, Architect provides institutional trading technology and U.S. electronic brokerage services through its registered subsidiaries, positioning the company as a multi‑venue infrastructure provider at the intersection of securities, derivatives, and digital‑style perpetual futures for institutional markets.
