Apono has introduced Agent Privilege Guard, a new capability within its cloud-native Privileged Access Management platform designed to control the runtime privileges of enterprise AI agents and co-pilots. Built on Apono’s Intent-Based Access Controls, the product evaluates each access request in real time, ensuring that even highly capable agents cannot exercise sensitive privileges beyond defined policies.
The system automatically approves low-risk actions, routes sensitive operations for human review via collaboration tools such as Slack, and blocks any request that breaches policy, with all credentials issued ephemerally and revoked upon task completion to maintain Zero Standing Privileges. Apono positions this as critical infrastructure for enterprises already deploying tools like GitHub Copilot and other agentic systems at scale, enabling security teams to support faster AI adoption without accepting unmanaged risk, and signaling a strategic push to make Apono the control layer for enterprise agent deployments as they evolve toward full autonomy.
