Defense tech company Anduril Industries signed a definitive agreement on March 11 to acquire ExoAnalytic Solutions, a space surveillance firm with a global network of over 400 telescopes for tracking high-orbit spacecraft and missile defense. The deal integrates ExoAnalytic directly into Anduril, marking the defense firm’s first acquisition under its space business unit and its 11th overall. The new acquisition also comes after Anduril revealed plans to raise $4 billion to further finance its defence tech capabilities.

ExoAnalytic Deal Expands Anduril’s Space Capabilities
The acquisition combines ExoAnalytic’s global sensor network and data analytics with Anduril’s expertise in autonomy and command-and-control, boosting U.S. space domain awareness amid rising threats from adversary spacecraft. Anduril currently has 120 employees focused on space defense, a number that will more than double with the addition of ExoAnalytic’s 130 staff.
Anduril Engineering Senior Vice President Gokul Subramanian said the deal will advance the company’s work in space sensing, tracking, battle management, and fire control. The deal also fast-tracks Anduril’s 2026 spacecraft launch plans.
The private company is planning to launch three spacecraft this year as internally-funded R&D projects, drawing on capabilities gained through the acquisition. Anduril plans to use ExoAnalytic’s data-processing expertise on an infrared-tracking satellite with Apex Space, alongside two separate high-orbit missions with Impulse Space and Argo Space.
Anduril Locks In on Golden Dome Bids
Anduril has been steadily building its space defense credentials, securing a $99.7 million contract in 2024 to modernize the U.S. Space Surveillance Network, followed by a late 2025 Pentagon contract to develop space-based missile interceptors. The ExoAnalytic acquisition now strengthens Anduril’s bid for Golden Dome contracts, a Congress-funded system that would deploy thousands of satellites to track and intercept incoming missiles.
ExoAnalytic acquisition also brings another strategic advantage. Its machine vision algorithms, originally built to spot and track satellites in orbit, can be applied to help interceptors identify and engage incoming threats. That capability directly complements Anduril’s existing missile interceptor contract with the Pentagon.
