AmpUp highlighted emerging megawatt charging solutions for heavy-duty fleets, alongside the OCPP 2.0.1 protocol and vehicle-to-grid capabilities. Management framed these technologies as moving from concept toward deployment, with heavy-duty EVs and depot infrastructure already under development.
The company emphasized that funding programs for fleet electrification across federal, state, and utility levels are more active than many market participants realize. AmpUp is preparing a guide to programs through 2026 and positioning itself as a consultative partner for early movers navigating incentive stacking and shovel-ready project requirements.
As part of this advisory push, AmpUp, Autel Energy, and CALSTART are organizing a “Fleet Electrification Playbook” webinar on May 14, 2026. The 30-minute session will cover available funding, deployment decisions that drive success versus delays, and strategies to protect investments as standards and capabilities evolve.
AmpUp is also sharpening its strategy in the multifamily segment, where infrastructure is often underbuilt in condos and apartments. It is promoting hardware-agnostic, scalable systems that can transition from shared to assigned or dedicated charging without costly rip-and-replace work.
Reliability was stressed as a key differentiator, with the company citing more than 60 field tests beyond basic OCPP compliance and an internal benchmark of a 98.5% session success rate. Focus areas include remote diagnostics, reduced truck rolls, and faster issue resolution to improve lifecycle economics for property owners.
In Earth Day posts, AmpUp reported 159 million electric miles enabled, over 73 million pounds of CO2 emissions avoided, and more than 10,000 charging ports deployed across U.S. communities. The emissions impact was compared to the annual carbon absorption of roughly 33,000 acres of U.S. forest, underscoring the network’s environmental contribution.
These metrics suggest expanding utilization and a broad, coast-to-coast footprint that may strengthen network effects and recurring software and services revenue. Overall, the week’s updates point to AmpUp reinforcing its role as an ecosystem and advisory partner in complex EV charging deployments while demonstrating growing operational scale and environmental impact.
