AmpUp introduced KlooBot, an AI-based diagnostic engine embedded in its EV Cloud platform and rolling out to AmpUp PRO subscribers. The tool is designed to translate complex charger error data into clear root-cause analysis and one-click health summaries, aiming to cut truck rolls, reduce mean time to resolution, and improve charger uptime.

A version of KlooBot tailored for installers is expected in early June, featuring deep log forensics that correlate OCPP error codes with hardware, firmware, and circuit conditions. Management positions KlooBot as a core infrastructure intelligence layer rather than a standalone product, supporting more autonomous, easier-to-manage charging operations for fleets and property owners.

AmpUp also highlighted its participation in ACT Expo 2026, where its CRO will speak on grid innovation and future-proof charging infrastructure. The company referenced a mobile vehicle-to-grid pilot with Roundtrip EV Solutions that treats municipal refuse trucks as 500kWh grid assets, underscoring efforts to integrate fleet vehicles into distributed energy resources.

In Earth Day and content series communications, AmpUp emphasized megawatt charging for heavy-duty fleets, the OCPP 2.0.1 protocol, and vehicle-to-grid capabilities moving toward deployment. It is positioning itself as a consultative partner on incentive stacking and project planning, including a forthcoming “Fleet Electrification Playbook” webinar with Autel Energy and CALSTART.

The company is sharpening its approach to multifamily properties with hardware-agnostic, scalable systems that can evolve from shared to dedicated charging without major retrofits. Reliability remains a central theme, with AmpUp citing more than 60 field tests beyond OCPP compliance and an internal benchmark of a 98.5% session success rate supported by remote diagnostics and faster issue resolution.

AmpUp reported enabling 159 million electric miles, avoiding over 73 million pounds of CO2 emissions, and deploying more than 10,000 charging ports across U.S. communities. These metrics suggest growing utilization and network breadth, reinforcing recurring software and services revenue potential while highlighting environmental impact.

Collectively, the week’s developments indicate AmpUp is deepening its software differentiation through AI diagnostics, expanding its role in fleet and grid-integrated charging, and demonstrating increasing scale, which could strengthen its competitive position in the evolving EV infrastructure ecosystem.
