AirX, the Malta-headquartered private aviation operator, has gained approval from Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation under its Part 129 framework, enabling the company to base more aircraft and significantly scale its private jet charter operations within the Kingdom. The move shifts AirX from primarily cross-border charters into a more embedded presence, positioning its fleet of 21 heavy and long-range jets to capture rising demand from corporate, governmental, and ultra-high-net-worth clients driven by Vision 2030.

Group CEO Houssam Hazzoury framed Saudi Arabia as one of AirX’s most strategic markets globally, citing rapid growth in tourism, investment flows, and international engagement as key demand drivers for premium, long-range aviation. Backed by AstroLabs’ regional expansion support, AirX plans to deepen partnerships across Riyadh, Jeddah, NEOM, and other key hubs, leveraging its European-scale fleet and in-house MRO capabilities to offer higher aircraft availability, safety, and service standards as the Kingdom accelerates its transformation into a major global business and tourism hub.
