Adaptavate Secures EIC Accelerator Funding to Advance Carbon-Negative Construction Technology

Adaptavate Secures EIC Accelerator Funding to Advance Carbon-Negative Construction Technology

According to a recent LinkedIn post from Adaptavate, the company has been selected for funding by the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator, a program run by the European Commission. The post notes that Adaptavate is among 61 companies chosen from hundreds of applicants, which the company suggests reflects the perceived transformative potential of its carbon-negative construction technology.

As outlined in the post, Adaptavate expects to receive a €2.5 million grant as part of a €3.5 million project aimed at validating its technology and launching a global licensing program. The company indicates this initiative is intended to make climate-positive construction solutions available to international partners.

The post also highlights access to EIC Business Acceleration Services, including connections to experts, investors, corporates, and innovation ecosystem players to support scaling the technology and licensing model. This support is presented as complementary to Adaptavate’s ongoing investment round, which could enhance its capital base and execution capacity if additional funding is secured.

For investors, the EIC selection and grant suggest increased non-dilutive funding and potential de-risking of Adaptavate’s R&D and commercialization efforts. If the global licensing strategy gains traction, it could create a recurring revenue model and strengthen the firm’s position in the growing decarbonized building materials segment, though execution, adoption rates, and regulatory dynamics remain key variables.
