Above Security has emerged from stealth with $50 million in funding to scale its AI-native managed insider threat platform, positioning the company at the center of a fast-evolving insider risk market. Led by Ballistic Ventures, Merlin Ventures, and Norwest, with participation from Jump Capital and QPV Ventures, the round backs a business that is already generating meaningful revenue just six months after beginning customer deployments.

Founded in 2025 by Unit 8200 veterans CEO Aviv Nahum and CPTO Amir Boldo, Above Security targets enterprises with more than 1,000 employees operating in SaaS-heavy environments, and has secured integrations across identity, endpoint, SaaS, and AI ecosystems, including CrowdStrike. The platform uses a fleet of specialized AI investigators and its Arbiter engine to infer user and agent intent across human and machine activity, aiming to sharply cut false positives, automate investigations, and provide evidentiary timelines that security, legal, and HR teams can act on.

The company is positioning itself around the thesis that AI agents now function as de facto insiders, dramatically expanding the potential attack surface and rendering traditional DLP and UEBA tools insufficient. Above’s approach is designed to cover both negligent and malicious activity, addressing the reality that nearly half of breaches stem from non-malicious human or system error and roughly 30% of security incidents are insider-related, according to industry statistics cited by the company and its investors.

Customer feedback highlights Above’s value proposition around rapid time to value and reduced manual investigation overhead, with at least one enterprise reporting full behavioral timelines and critical incident detection within five days of deployment and without the need to write policies or rules. Investors describe the company as redefining insider risk management rather than incrementally improving it, emphasizing the strategic importance of scalable, AI-driven oversight as organizations grant growing autonomy and access to AI systems.

Recognition as one of 35 companies, and among the top five, in the 2026 CrowdStrike, AWS, and NVIDIA Cybersecurity Startup Accelerator gives Above additional industry validation and go-to-market leverage. With capital in place and early product-market fit signaled by live deployments and recurring revenue, Above is now positioned to accelerate product development, expand its integration footprint, and scale sales as enterprises seek operational, AI-ready insider risk programs.
