3D Cloud is expanding its Visual Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) platform with an AI-driven kitchen design assistant that automates much of the layout and specification work for RTA, in-stock, and semi-custom cabinets, aiming to cut design and sales cycles by roughly half. Built on the company’s new patent for conversational AI design, the tool lets retail associates and consumers describe requirements in natural language and receive a validated 3D kitchen plan, complete with NKBA-compliant documentation that can be priced and converted directly into an order.
The assistant uses 3D Cloud’s data engine, combining manufacturer catalog content with hundreds of thousands of prior kitchen designs and synthetic data, to ensure that every configuration adheres to product rules, inventory constraints, and business policies. By embedding this AI workflow into its B2B SaaS platform, 3D Cloud positions manufacturers and retailers to shift more volume to assisted and self-service design, lowering staffing needs, standardizing outputs across channels, and potentially improving throughput and close rates in kitchen projects.
