“One of My Favorites”: Boeing Stock (NYSE:BA) Jumps With Jim Cramer’s Nod

Story Highlights

Boeing has a special place of honor on Jim Cramer’s list, and Boeing is also home to the biggest building by volume on the planet.

“One of My Favorites”: Boeing Stock (NYSE:BA) Jumps With Jim Cramer’s Nod

Some might be inherently concerned by the notion that Jim Cramer of CNBC fame likes a stock. After all, there was a mutual fund once that traded on doing the opposite of whatever he recommended. But one of Cramer’s latest likes struck a chord, and aerospace giant Boeing (BA) is that like. This was good enough news for investors, who piled in and sent shares up nearly 2% in Thursday afternoon’s trading.

Meet Samuel – Your Personal Investing Prophet

Jim Cramer’s feelings about Boeing came out plainly on his X feed, as he noted, “Boeing, one of my favorites in the trust: lotta chatter of big wins out of China and Saudi Arabia. Given that they are getting better and better and quicker at making new planes these could take the stock back to $250.” All of which is true, of course; we heard about those Saudi wins not too long ago with Saudia, and there were similar signs that China might get involved, even as it struggles mightily to get Comac up and running.

Cramer is not alone here, either; several other analysts have come out on Boeing’s side in the last few weeks. UBS, for example, hiked its price target from $275 to $285 per share, holding its Buy rating in place. UBS analysts were particularly pleased with Boeing’s improved free cash flow, as well as overall production processes.

The Biggest Building on Earth, By Volume

An unexpected fact about Boeing emerged, meanwhile, as it turns out that Boeing is the current Guinness World Record holder for the largest building by volume. This building, the Everett Factory in Mukilteo, Washington, stands at 472 million cubic feet of space, and features a factory floor containing 98.3 acres. That is roughly the equivalent of 75 football fields.

The building is reportedly so large that it contains its own weather system. A tour actually runs through the building in question, and takes 80 minutes start to finish. This is also where Boeing keeps its Future of Flight gallery as well as several exhibits, like a mock-up of the Destiny module.

Is Boeing a Good Stock to Buy Right Now?

Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Strong Buy consensus rating on BA stock based on 14 Buys, one Hold and one Sell assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 27.41% rally in its share price over the past year, the average BA price target of $269.50 per share implies 11.79% upside potential.
