Nvidia Stock (NVDA) Jumps After It Denies RTX 50 Series EOL Rumors

Nvidia (NVDA) stock was up on Friday after the semiconductor company addressed rumors about its RTX 50 Series graphics processing units (GPUs). This rumor claimed that Nvidia planned to start the End of Life (EOL) process for its RTX 50 Series GPUs to better focus on its line of artificial intelligence (AI) graphics cards.

Nvidia has confirmed that this isn’t the case. Instead, the company noted that the increased demand for RAM used in AI data centers has made it difficult to keep up with demand for its RTX 50 Series cards. There are no plans to EOL the RTX 50 Series GPUs, even if the company failed to announce any updates for the line at CES 2026, such as Super versions.

Nvidia noted that it has continued to negotiate with DRAM suppliers in an effort to obtain more for its GPUs, whether they are designed for use with AI or for consumer reasons. Nvidia’s statement tracks as manufacturers of its GPUs, who have had similar trouble keeping RTX graphics cards in stock due to the AI boom.
