Netflix Sets Its Sights on Argentina, Netflix Stock (NASDAQ:NFLX) Notches Up

While streaming giant Netflix (NFLX) is available throughout large portions of the world, it seems to be putting a particular focus on Argentina lately. It has set up several new overtures and operations in the country recently, which has some wondering why. Investors are taking a wait-and-see approach, based on the fractional bump in Netflix shares seen in the closing minutes of Wednesday’s trading.

One of the biggest moves that Netflix made in Argentina was opening up a new office in Buenos Aires, the capital. It joins offices Netflix recently opened in Brazil and Mexico of late, which were at the time considered production centers in Latin America. Thus, the Argentine location is likely considered a production center as well. Netflix is also stepping up its productions in the region, with plans for four new shows. A second season of The Eternaut is in line, with hopes to release in 2027. A drama series and multiple documentaries are also set to arrive eventually.

Netflix’s vice president of content in Latin America, Francisco Ramos, noted, “We are signaling that we are here to stay because all of these have one thing in common, they have been tailor-made for us. They have the DNA of our offices, like the ones in London or L.A. When you walk through the door you feel you’re in a Netflix office.”

“Where All the Bodies are Buried”

Before his death in 2025, Terry Bollea—more commonly known as Hulk Hogan—was perhaps the biggest name in wrestling for the last 40 years. When you have been around as long as he has, you learn a few things about how productions work and, as he put it, “…where all the bodies are buried.” A new documentary, Hulk Hogan: Real American, offers some insight into just what the Hulkster knew and when he knew it.

You will likely have to watch the documentary yourself to find out just how much he knew, but reports suggest the documentary will feature not only his wrestling career, but also, home videos with himself and his children Nick and Brooke. Reports note the documentary will premiere April 22.

Is Netflix Stock a Good Buy Right Now?

Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Moderate Buy consensus rating on NFLX stock based on 31 Buys and 10 Holds assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 4.52% rally in its share price over the past year, the average NFLX price target of $114.61 per share implies 15.24% upside potential.
