Well, we knew that tech giant Microsoft (MSFT) has been backing artificial intelligence (AI) development hard lately. Its vociferous objections to the term “slop” in describing AI-produced material are proof enough of that. But recently, Microsoft’s Copilot pulled off an interesting trick, and called the results of Super Bowl 60, despite the fact that the big event is still just over a month out. The sheer audacity of the play caught investors’ attention, and sent shares surging up over 2% in Wednesday afternoon’s trading.

There was not a lot of fodder to work with on this one. There are no clear favorites to consider, and most of the preseason favorites in the early going did not even manage to reach the playoffs. So USA Today took a few key prompts and had Copilot work up a list of predictions ahead of the big game a month from now on Sunday, February 8.
Copilot’s response would certainly raise eyebrows. It looks for two seeding upsets in the AFC’s wild-card round, starting with the Bills to beat the Jaguars. A boost from “…Josh Allen’s playoff reps,” meanwhile, was enough to give Buffalo an edge over Jacksonville. The NFC will be a bit more straightforward, with the only exception being a win by the Rams over the Panthers thanks to “…limited explosive plays.” In the end, Copilot handed the Super Bowl to the Seahawks over the Bills by a tight score of 27 to 23.
New Place For Xbox
Yesterday, we got a look at a new face at Xbox with the start of its 25th anniversary. And now, we get a new place to play Xbox games as well, as Xbox Cloud Gaming will now be available on some Hisense (HISEF) televisions. Other televisions that run on V homeOS can get in on the action as well.
Microsoft has been working to improve accessibility for the Xbox Cloud ecosystem for quite some time now, and this is just the latest push on that front. With the Steam Machine still targeted for arrival in early 2026, and Microsoft’s own efforts to bring PC gaming to the Xbox platform still in line as well, the end result is a growing position for Microsoft’s gaming it will need going forward.
Is Microsoft a Buy, Hold or Sell?
