Data center infrastructure company Vertiv Holdings (VRT) announced the acquisition of Waylay NV, a Belgium-based leader in hyperautomation and generative artificial intelligence (AI) software platforms. The company didn’t disclose the financial terms of the deal.

Vertiv offers power, cooling, and IT infrastructure solutions for data centers. The Waylay deal is expected to bolster Vertiv’s AI infrastructure business and capture the strong demand driven by robust growth in data centers.
Vertiv Strengthens Infrastructure Solutions with Waylay Deal
Vertiv’s acquisition of Waylay is part of the company’s continued investment in AI-driven monitoring and control technologies for its power and cooling systems (PLCs). The company expects this deal to enable customers to optimize energy usage and enhance operational intelligence across their critical digital infrastructure.
Through the integration of Waylay’s AI and automation tools into its infrastructure portfolio, Vertiv would be able to offer advanced capabilities at scale.
“With the addition of Waylay’s technology and software-focused team, Vertiv will accelerate its vision of intelligent infrastructure — data-driven, proactive, and optimized for the world’s most demanding environments,” said Vertiv’s CEO Giordano Albertazzi.
Vertiv recently reported strong Q2 results and raised its full-year outlook. The company generated a 35% growth in Q2 revenue and ended the quarter with a solid backlog of $8.5 billion, reflecting robust momentum in its business.
